7. Disconnect the front fan cable from the front fan connector on the system board. See "Parts on the
system board" on page 35.
Note: For easier access to the front fan connector on the system board, you might need to remove the
heat sink fan duct. See "Replacing the heat sink and fan assembly" on page 137.
8. The front fan is attached to the chassis by four rubber mounts. Remove the front fan by breaking or
cutting the rubber mounts and gently pulling the front fan out of the chassis.
Note: The new front fan comes with four new rubber mounts attached.
