Always remove the battery before carrying out any work on the power tool.
Condition
Running time is too short
Battery jams when being inserted in power
tool / charger
Battery is not being charged even though
LED on charger glows green
LED on charger flashes red

Cause
Battery not fully charged
Useful life of battery has been reached
or exceeded
Cutting attachment dirty
Guides / contacts dirty
Battery too hot / too cold
(1 LED on battery glows red)
No electrical contact between charger
and battery
Malfunction in battery
(4 LEDs on battery flash red for
about 5 seconds)
Malfunction in charger
Remedy
Charge the battery
1)
Check battery
and replace
Clean the cutting attachment
Carefully clean the guides / contacts
Allow battery to cool down / at tempera-
tures of about 15°C - 20°C (59°F - 68°F),
allow battery to warm up slowly
Operate charger only in closed, dry
rooms at ambient temperatures of 5°C -
40°C (40°F - 104°F)
Remove the battery and refit it
Take the battery out of the power tool
and refit it. Switch on the machine – if the
LEDs continue to flash, the battery has a
malfunction and must be replaced.
Have charger checked by servicing
