2 LFF Smart Array Controller Mini-SAS cable option

To install the component:
If installed, remove the security bezel (on page 17).
1.
Power down the server (on page 17).

Remove all power:

Disconnect each power cord from the power source.

Disconnect each power cord from the server.

Do one of the following:

Extend the server from the rack (on page 18).

Remove the server from the rack (on page 19).

Remove the access panel (on page 20).

Disconnect the existing Mini-SAS cables from the system board and the drive backplane.

Remove the existing PCI riser cage

Remove the blank from slot 2 of the riser cage.

Install the Smart Array controller.
