Print quality difficulties (continued)
Difficulties
White vertical lines appear in
text or graphics.
The machine prints blank
pages.
Printed text or images are
skewed.
Smudge or stain at the top
centre of the printed page.
Suggestions
Clean the print head. (See Cleaning the print head uu page 108.)
Make sure you are using Brother Original Ink.
Try using the recommended types of paper.

Make sure you are using Brother Original Ink.
Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and the paper side guides
are adjusted correctly. (See Loading paper uu page 7.)
When you put paper into the paper tray, make sure you load at least 10 sheets of
paper in the tray. If loading fewer than 10 sheets of paper, use the MP tray instead.

If the problem occurs during duplex printing, the duplex tray rollers may be dirty.
Tightly wring out a lint-free cloth soaked in lukewarm water, and then wipe the five
rollers (1) on the bottom of the tray.
