Spots caused by limescale deposits,
water and aluminium residues (which
have a metalic appearance) can be
removed using the ceramic cooktop
cleaner.
Should any sugar, plastic or
aluminium foil spill or fall on to a hot
cooking zone, first switch off the
appliance. Then carefully scrape off all
the sugar, plastic or aluminium residues
from the cooktop whilst they are still hot
using a shielded scraper blade. Take
care not to burn yourself.
Allow the cooking zone to cool down,
and then clean as described above
with a suitable proprietary ceramic
cooktop cleaner.
Cleaning and care
Appliances with aluminium frames
(see data plate) are prone to
scratching, alkali and acid damage.
Take great care when cleaning the
aluminium frame. Do not use cleaning
agents for stainless steel or descaling
agents on aluminium surfaces. Soiling
should be wiped off as soon as
possible after using the appliance. If
the soiling is left for a long time it can
have a damaging effect on the
aluminium surfaces. Intensive cleaning
with proprietary ceramic cooktop
cleaners can cause the frame to take
on a shiny appearance.
