    BF-110 INTRODUCTION: Thank you for purchasing this Bf.110 from Durafly, the worlds first Plug and Fly model of this classic WW2 fighter. The Durafly PnF Messerschmitt Bf.110 is a close to scale model of the iconic German twin engined fighter. Durafly have captured perfectly the aggresive looks and outline of this impressive aircraft but with the quality, ease of construction and great flying characteristics Durafly is famous for.

    REQUIRED TO COMPLETE MODEL: In the 'Plug n Fly' format the Bf.110 will still require some additional electronic components to be ready for flight. Durafly recommends these Turnigy products below from HobbyKing for ease of installation, optimum performance and great value.

    BF-110 ASSEMBLY: 1. Locate aileron control horns and push rods. Install the aileron control horn using the screws and screw driver provided. Now connect the pushrod to the aileron servo horn as shown. Repeat this step for the remaining wing panel.
  • Page 7 3. Locate the plywood wing spar and glue it into either one of the wing panels. Push the spar into the wing until the center of the spar meets the edge of the wing panel as shown. Apply some glue to this same edge and the exposed portion of the spar. Now push the remaining panel fully onto the spar until both sides meet, ensuring both wing halves are completely aligned with one another at the center and that all wires are pulled neatly through to the top of the wing.
  • Page 8 BF-110 5. Offer the completed wing up to the underside of the fuselage installing the leading edge first. Pull through all wires from the wing into the opening of the fuselage, ensuring the wing sits centrally to the fuselage when installed as shown. Use one of the two wing bolts (35mm in lenght) to secure the trailing edge of the wing to the fuselage.
  • Page 9 7. The bombs can now be glued in place. Alternatively velcro can be used to make them removable. 8. Locate the vertical stabilizer and install the rudder control horns as shown. Now glue the vertical fins to both ends of the horizontal stabilizer ensuring they at 90° to the tail as illustrated.
  • Page 10 BF-110 9. With the fins firmly glued in place, the rudder control rods can be installed. Power up the servo’s to center and raise the arms. You’ll now be able to access the control horns easily to connect the push rods as shown.
  • Page 11 12. Flip the tail plane back over and position firmly in place on the fuselage, pulling through any remaining servo leads as you do. Ensure there are no gaps and that the tail is level and aligned correctly to the wing and fuselage. Measuring equal distances bewteen the point shown with ensure this.

    16. Locate all numbered servo Y-leads and connect to their corrosponding servo leads. Connect these servo leads to your receiver of choice (as stipulated by your receiver manufacturer). Connect the esc Y-lead (supplied) to both XT60 plugs that exit the center section of the wing as shown. Note the UBEC coming from the esc Y-lead.

    BF-110 SETTING UP YOUR MODEL: 1. Once you have established a connection between your receiver and transmitter turn on your transmitter followed by your receiver (by connecting your 2200mah 3s lipo to the speed controller (ESC). Also ensure the battery is fully charged.

    MODEL FLYING PRECAUTIONS: - Select your flight area carefully. Always choose an open space that is unobstructed from trees and buildings and away from crowed area's. Avoid flying in area's with roads, electric/telephone poles/wires and water near by or within close proximity to full size air traffic.

    BF-110 PRE-FLIGHT CHECKS: 1. Always range check your model before any flight (especially when flying a new model for the first time). Follow your radio manufacturers guidelines for performing this check. 2. Check all screw/bolts and mounting points are firmly secured, including control horns and clevises.
