What are Repeaters?

As the term suggests, wireless repeaters REPEAT wireless signals coming from
your router in order to reach areas that are in need of wireless coverage.

Why should I Use WL590E?

Whether you like it or not, your router cannot fully provide wireless coverage
all over your home. Areas with weak wireless signals or even "blind spots" are
sure to occur. With the WL590E, say goodbye to these blind spots and extend
wireless signals to any part of your home that needs it.

What is the Difference between 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz?

Throughout your home, you have multiple devices that use the 2.4GHz
frequency band (e.g. microwaves, cordless phones etc). This is the same
frequency used by your wireless router when it is providing wireless
connectivity to your wireless devices. Since the 2.4GHz is used by so many
devices, the 2.4GHz becomes congested, greatly affecting the wireless
speeds you have in your home.
The 5.0GHz band is then the solution. The 5.0GHz is a less-prone-to-
interferences band, allowing you to experience the wireless speeds you have
always wanted. However, in order for you to utilize this feature, your device
must first support the 5.0GHz band.

Why is the WL590E dual band?

With the dual band routers today, it is essential for the WL590E to also have
the capability of repeating either the 2.4GHz or the 5.0GHz band.

Would Repeaters provide less bandwidth?

In concept, a router talks to wireless devices only. This allows routers to
provide FULL bandwidth to all wireless devices involved. With repeaters, the
