OPERATING
THE
MOWER
Step 3
Allow the engine to warm up and move the throttle lever to the
'fast'
position after starting a cold engine.
To prevent damage never pull the engine start grip when the
engine is running.

Engaging Cutterblade Drive

Always make sure the stop lever is fully forward.
(1) To engage the (BBC) cutterblade first push the switch actuating
lever downward.

(2) Pull the stop lever back against the handlebar at the same time, and
hold in position.
Disengage Cutterblade Drive.
(1) Release the stop lever and it will return to its rest position.
Emergency Stop.
If the cutterblade drive mechanism fails stop the engine.

Forward Travel

Hold the handlebar and operate the ground drive clutch lever to power
the mower in a forward direction.
When the ground drive clutch lever is disengaged the mower may be
pushed. This feature is useful when mowing in confined areas.

Ground speed may be adjusted by operating the speed variator control.
Push forward to slow down and pull back to speed up. Only operate the
lever with the engine running to prevent damage.
If the cutterblade stop lever is released the cutterblade will stop.
