Remove grass debris from the top and underside of the deck housing
immediately after use.
Fertilisers and top dressings are particularly corrosive.
Thoroughly clean the mower deck immediately after use on treat-
ed grass and store well away from corrosive materials.
Regularly check that all securing nuts and bolts are tight. Replace
missing or damaged items immediately.
The end user should re-adjust the cable tension after 30 hours, and at
any time the operator feels that the machine loses drive.
1. Stop the engine.
2. The operator pulls the machine backwards, at the same time,
progressively engages the clutch lever until the rollers of the machine
slip on the ground. The operator then holds the bail in that position to
measure the distance between the handlebar and the clutch lever.
3. If the distance between the clutch lever and the handlebar is less
60 mm the operator will regulate the cable tension with the black
plastic cable adjustment to meet this specification. Refer to Fig 1.
This verification and adjustment can be performed throughout the life
of the machine, when deemed necessary.
Unscrew the middle section of the black adjuster (until the clutch
lever is set correctly). Refer to Fig 2.
Failure to adjust correctly could result in premature failure of the
drive system.
