• Remove the oil seal stopper ring 8.
• Remove the oil seal 9 with the special tool.
09913-50121: Oil seal remover
The removed oil seal must be replaced with a new one.
• Remove the oil seal retainer 0.
INSPECTION
INNER AND OUTER TUBES
• Inspect the inner tube outer surface and outer tube inner sur-
face for scratches.
• Inspect the "ANTI-FRICTION" metal surfaces for scratches.
• If any defects are found, replace them with a new one.
Do not remove the "ANTI-FRICTION" metal A and B.
FORK SPRING
Measure the fork spring free length.
If it is shorter than the service limit, replace it with a new one.
Front fork spring free length:
Service Limit: 374 mm (14.7 in)
