Non è probabile che si produca una
panna in viaggio se il ciclomotore è
correttamente conservato e si ha tratta-
to con la dovuta cura.
Comunque può accadere in un dato
istante che il veicolo si fermi brusca-
mente e non ci sia modo di metterlo in
moto. In questo caso, il conducente che
non sia munito di ampie conoscenze nel
campo della meccanica deve soltanto
verificare due punti, che sono quelli che
provocano generalmente l'arresto
senza che questo implichi che il veicolo
è in panna.
Verificare se scende la benzina dal
serbatoio fino al carburatore.
Dopo aver verificato che la benzina
scende, bisogna soltanto verificare se la
macchina ha una buona scintilla, cioè,
se mediante il cavo d'alta tensione che
è collegato alla candela arriva la corren-
te elettrica necessaria per produrre la
scintilla tra i due elettrodi della candela.
Per fare questa verifica, smontare la

It is improbable that you will have a
breakdown on the road if your moped
has been well kept and maintained.
However, it can happen at one
moment that the vehicle suddenly stops
and is impossible to restart. In this case,
the rider who does not have great
mechanical knowledge need only check
the two points which are the usual
cause of stoppage without the vehicle
being defective.
Check that the fuel is flowing from
the tank to the carburettor. If this is so,
check that the engine has a good spark
- that is to say, that the high-voltage
cable is sending the necessary electric
current to produce the spark between
the electrodes of the spark plug.
To carry out this check, remove the
spark plug, using the appropriate span-
ner supplied in the moped's tool kit.
Examine the plug to see if there are car-
bon deposits between the electrodes: if
there are, remove them with a knife or a

Wenn das Mokick in gutem Zustand
ist und entsprechend gepflegt wird, ist
es nicht wahrscheinlich, daß sich
während der Fahrt Pannen einstellen.
Es kann allerdings vorkommen, daß
das Fahrzeug plötzlich anhält und es in
keiner Weise wieder in Gang zu bringen
ist. In einem solchen Falle raten wir
dem Fahrer, der über keine
umfassenden mechanischen
Kenntnisse verfügt, die beiden
folgenden Punkte zu überprüfen, die im
allgemeinen den Stillstand hervorrufen,
ohne daß deswegen ein Schaden
vorliegt.
Feststellen, ob Kraftstoff vom Tank
zum Vergaser gelangt. Steht der Motor
still, gelangt kein Benzin in den
Vergaser, da der Benzinhahn nur mit
laufendem Motor funktioniert.
Ist einmal sichergestellt, daß der
Kraftstoff in den Vergaser gelangt, muß
nur noch überprüft werden, ob das
Fahrzeug gut zündet, d. h. ob über das
an die Zündkerze angeschlossene
