CAUSE
Pilot not lit
Regulator valve not turned "ON".
Rocker switch not turned "ON". (Model PRC-36)
Rocker switch wires not connected. (Model PRC-36)
Generator wires loose at regulator terminals
Generator wire grounded out
due to pinching of wires.
Generator is not producing enough
millivolts to operate burner.
Wall switch, remote control or thermostat not
connected properly or turned to wrong setting. See
Figures 18A & 18B, page #22. (Model PRC-36)
Generator wires loose on
valve terminals.
Generator wire grounded out
due to pinched wires.
Generator is not producing enough
millivolts to sustain burner operation.
Refractory panels not positioned
against firebox.
SOLUTION
Relight pilot
Turn valve to "ON"
Depress switch.
Check wiring diagram Figure 26
to ensure that all wires are secure.
Reposition wire an tighten screws.
See Figures 26 & 27 for wiring instructions.
Screws securing millivolt board may need
loosening to remove pinched wire.
Replace generator.
Connect properly or disconnect
and use ON/OFFswitch only.
Reposition wires and tighten screws
See Figures 26 & 27 for wiring instructions.
Screws securing millivolt board may need
loosening to remove pinched wire.
Check millivolt reading, replace
generator if necessary.
Secure refractory panels with
high-temp sealant, especially
around the intake duct.
