® STEINDORFF 1) Analyzer & Polarizer shall be crossed in the light path. The images appear in the objective rear focal plane when an optically anisotropic specimen is viewed between crossed polarizer using a high numerical aperture objective/condenser combination. 2) The iris diaphragm should be closed to 90%.
