Assembly of deck
cowl
Fig. B, C and D: Assemble
deck cowl on as flat a surface
as possible, which is exposed
to wind from all directions.
Drill an opening of 80 mm
diameter. Sealing is car-
ried out using the enclosed
cellular rubber seal (1)
without any further sealing
compound.
In the case of greater roof
thick-nesses, first connect
the ducts to the cowl from
the outside.
Pass cellular rubber seal (1)
and clamp (2) over the ducts.
Press together the end of
the exhaust duct (3) so that
winding touches winding and
slide over the O-ring onto the
connection fitting (4).
Fasten using clamp (2) in
such a way that the bead
edge of the clamp grasps
around the collar. Slide com-
bustion air intake duct (6)
over the connection fitting (5)
and fasten with clamp (11).
Fasten cowl part (7) with
screws (8). Screw on cowl
cover (9) with 3 bolts (10).

Gas connection

The gas supply line is con-
nected to the connection
fitting with 8 mm outside
diameter.
Do not shorten or bend
the gas connection
fitting on the heater. When
tightening the connection
nipple, hold it in place with a
second wrench.
No substances containing
ammonia may be used to
test the sealing of the gas
system.
Instructions for the
gas supply
Only copper pipe or stainless
steel may be used as raw
material.
Connections are to be estab-
lished with
– hard soldering,
– cutting rings with insert
sleeves on copper tubes,
– stainless-steel screw
connections in the case of
stainless steel.

Pipes which are run through
the engine area must not
have any connections
other than bulkhead screw
connections.
Pipes must not come in con-
tact with metal parts of the
boat body.
Pipes must be laid at a mi-
nimum distance of 30 mm
away from unprotected
electrical leads, and 100 mm
away from connections to
electrical leads which are
to be uncovered, and from
waste gas lines from the
engine.
The gas hoses must comply
with EN 1763 and be suit-
able for boats.
Only gas pressure regulators
may be used which are suit-
able for boats and with sur-
face protection and an over-
pressure protection device.
Electrical
connection
Prior to carrying out
the electrical connec-
tion of the heater check that
in the boat or vehicle electri-
cal system the negative is
connected to ground. If this
is not the case, consult your
dealer. The electrical connec-
tion must be carried out as
specified in the installation
instruction which are en-
closed with the heater.
