Maximum Allowable Speed
There is a maximum allowable speed
exhaust
for each gear. When exceeding these
speeds, the engine speed will enter
the red zone on the tachometer. If this
occurs, you will feel the engine cuts
out regularly, which is caused by a
limiter in the engine's computer
controls. The engine will run normally
when you reduce the engine speed
below the red zone.
To prevent damage to the engine, do
not downshift if you are going faster
than the maximum allowable speed
for the next lower gear.
