If Engine Stalls
Try to start the engine by the normal
starting procedure.
NOTICE
Don't operate the Start key when
you get oil on your hand.
CAUTION
When the Start switch get faulty
during the starting procedure,
stop using it and contact a BYD
service station to check the
vehicle.

If Engine Cannot Start
In the following cases, the engine
cannot start.
If the smart key isn't in the vehicle:
when you press the Start button,
the keyless entry & start system
indicator will come on and the
buzzer will sound.
Even if the smart key is in the
vehicle, when its transmitter is
blocked (for example, the smart
key is on the floor or in the glove
box), the engine cannot be started.
In the following cases, the engine
cannot start when you press the Start
switch:
If the smart key functions are not
working, the battery in it may have
depleted.
Try the starting procedure again
while holding the smart key close
to the Start switch. (For details,
see
"Keyless
Entry
System" in section 1-2.)
Replace the battery in the smart
key as soon as possible.
"Replace Battery in Card Key" and
"Replace Battery in Electronic
Smart Key" in section 1-2.)
If the engine starts repeatedly in a
short period of time.
Please wait for at least 10 seconds
before trying again.
If the green indicator on the Start
switch is flashing and the keyless
entry & start system indicator on
