When driving across a groove
■
Drivable snow depth
Snow with a depth of around 60 cm (23.6 in.) or less can be driven through.
■
When crossing a river
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may cause water to enter the engine or the vehicle and
cause malfunctions.
●
Check the water depth and river bed conditions beforehand.
●
Enter the river at walking speed.
●
Cross perpendicular to the river or downstream.
●
Avoid changing speed while crossing and cross without stopping.
●
If the engine stalls during a crossing a river, have the vehicle towed out of
the water by a rescue vehicle and have the vehicle checked by your
Toyota dealer as soon as possible.
●
Even for only a short time, do not stop the vehicle where the water level is
over the door opening.

If a groove is approached head on, both
front wheels could fall into the groove at
the same time, possibly damaging the
vehicle and rendering it immovable.
