Advanced Thermostat Operations

Overview

This chapter provides step-by-step procedures for changing the settings and activating specific options on the thermostat.

Changing User Preferences

Security Code Screen

The Security Code screen (FIG. 29) enables you to enter the security code for the thermostat. Without entering a security code, the
user cannot have access to advanced setup features or make changes to the user preferences.
The default security code is 1988.
Pressing the Up/Down arrow buttons increases or decreases the numeric value in the highlighted box. Pressing the Mode/Select
button highlights the next box in the sequence or highlights Enter if pressed while the fourth box is highlighted. Use Up/Down
arrow buttons to move between Enter and Cancel. Press the Mode/Select button while Enter is highlighted to open the User
Preferences screen. Press the Mode/Select button while Cancel is highlighted to return to the Settings screen.
To change the security code, see the Changing the Security Code on page 30.

Accessing Advanced Setup Options

Perform the following steps to access advanced setup options:

On the Main screen, press Mode/Select until the Thermostat Mode screen appears (FIG. 30).

Use the navigation buttons to select Settings, and press Mode/Select. The Settings screen appears (FIG. 31).
