Call Waiting, . .
Acall waiting tone can be sent to a busy station while the calling
station waits on line for an answer.
To activate call waiting,
l
Make intercom call and receive busy signal.

Dial a @ a
. (Called party hears
tone.)
l
Remain on line, waiting for called station response.
To cancel,
l
Hang up handset.
To answer a call waiting,
l
Hear short tone burst in handset receiver.
l
Complete present call, and hang up. Waiting call
will begin ringing.
* Lift handset to answer.
NOTE: The originating and receiving stations will receive three
tone bursts as confirmation of call waiting.
