gasolines

It
is
recommended
that
these
vehicles not
be
operated exclusively
on unleaded gasolines.
Materials Added
to
Fuel
Indiscriminate use of
fuel
system
cleaning agen ts
should
be
avoided.
Many
of these
materials intended for
gum
and varnish
removal
may
contain active solvents
or
similar
ingredients
that
can be
harmfu
l
to
gasket
and diaphragm
materials
used in fuel
system
component
parts
.
Gas Cap
Location
The
filler tub
e is
behind
the
rear
license plate.
Note:
The gasoline filler
tube,
on cars equipped with a catalytic
converter,
has a restricting door about 2
inches
(50
mm) down
from the
opening. If,
in an
emergency,
fuel is poured from a
portable
container, the
container should have a flexible nozzle
long
enough to force open the restricting
door.
All
Chrysler
Corporati on
cars use
a
pressure
vacuu
m
relief
gasoline
cap.
If it
is
rep
laced
be
sure
to specify
thi
s
type.
To Open
the
Hood
The release
lever
is
b
elow the
instrument
pane
l
on
the
left
side.
Pull the release and
the
hood
will
rise to the safety
catch
position,
then insert
you
r
fingers under
the
leading
edge of
the
hood
and
push the
safety
catch to the
right.
Exhaust
Gas Warning (Carbon monoxide)
Exhaust
gases contain
carbon
monoxide, a
potentially toxic gas
that
by
itseU is
colorless
and
odorless.
To
avoid
breathing
these
gases
the following precautions
should
be
observed:
• Do not run the
engine
in
a
closed
garage or
in confined
areas
any
longer
than needed to
move
the
car
in
or
out
of
the
area.
If
it
is
necessary
to
sit in a
parked
car
with
the
en
gine
running
for
more
than
a
sh
ort
period,
adjust
your
heating
or cooling
system
to force
outside a
ir
into
the
car. Set the
fan at high speed
and
the
controls
in
any
position
except
OFF
or
MAX
NC.
To avoid
drawing
exhaust
gases
into
the
car,
the trunk
lid
should
be
dosed while
driving. However,
if
for
some
reason it
must remain
open,
close
all windows
and roof opening
(sun-
roof) and adj ust heating or cooling
system to force
outside
air
into
the car. Set
controls
in
any
mode
except
OFF
or
MAX
NC,
and
set
the
blower
in high
speed
.
