SECTION VIII: TROUBLESHOOTING

In case of trouble, check first whether all items of the
present mounting and operating instructions have been
completed with.
The subsequent tables will assist you in troubleshooting
and finding a remedy yourself.
Syptom
1. Transmission
2. Delayed shift
time
3. Clutch is slipping,
i.e.propeller speed
too low as compared
to engine speed

Possibly cause
1.1 Shifting lever is loose
cannot be shifted

not permit lever travel

4.3 Needle bearings on
input shaft are worn out
4.4 Pump gear is worn
5.1 Rotary slide valve in
control valve is worn

on input shaft

overheating of slipping
clutch
If any interventions are necessary on the transmission,
please refer to the Repair Manual.
Warranty claims will be forfeited if work on the transmission
is performed by un-authorized persons during the warranty
period.
Remedy
Tighten clamping bolt on
shifting lever
Lift remote control off, if
gears can be shifted by
hand, correct remote control.
Repair remote control
Refer to 7
Lift remote control off, if
gear can be shifted by hand,
correct remote control.
If the transmission cannot
be shifted correctly-
by hand, replace
the control valve.
Disassemble the gearbox and
check forward or reverse
clutch clearance.
Drain fluid, refill with prescribed
fluid, flush transmission
while engine runs
in neutral position, drain
fluid, refill transmission.
