Always remove the battery from the machine before starting any work on the machine.
Fault
Running time is too short
Battery gets stuck during insertion in the
machine/charger
Battery does not charge although the LEDs
on the charger are green
LED on charger flashes red

Battery is not completely charged
Service life of battery has been reached
or exceeded
Blade clogged/dirty
Blade bent
Guides dirty
Battery too hot / too cold
(1 LED on battery is red)
No electrical contact between charger
and battery
Battery fault
(4 LEDs on battery flash red for
approx. 5 seconds)
Fault in charger
Remedy
Charge battery
1)
Check battery
and replace
Clean blades, spray with STIHL resin
solvent
Have blade checked by a servicing

Carefully clean guides
Let the battery cool down / let the battery
warm up gradually at temperatures of
approx. 15 °C - 20 °C (59°F - 68°F)
Operate the charger only in a closed, dry
space at ambient temperatures of +5 °C
to +40 °C (41°F - 104°F)
Remove battery and reinsert it
Remove battery from the machine and
reinsert it. Turn on the machine – if the
LEDs still flash, the battery is faulty and
must be replaced
Have charger checked by a servicing
