—Passenger airbag off switch

This switch is designed to disable the

usage, if necessary, of a member of a

TABLE 1 is occupying the right front

passenger seating position. (For details,

see "SRS driver airbag and front pas-

senger airbag" in this Section.)

Operate the switch as follows:

Insert key into the keyhole.

To turn the passenger airbag on, turn the

key clockwise to the "AUTO" position. At

this time, the indicator light condition var-

ies depending on the occupant in the right

front seat. (For details, see "Front passen-

ger occupant classification system" in the

To turn the passenger airbag off, turn the

key counterclockwise to the "OFF" position

and remove it. At this time, the "OFF"

indicator light comes on. If the key is

removed at any other position than "OFF",

the switch will automatically return to the

"AUTO" position.
