The connector is industry-standard RS232 and is a PC/AT standard 9-pin D male connector.

Tethered scanners must be connected to powered cradles.

Pin 9 of this port is connected to +5 VDC and only approved Honeywell cables are to be used for communication
between the cradle and external devices.
