9.13.7.3
Fuel indications in the water will vary depending on the
angle at which the aircraft is floating. Generally, using the
markings for level flight will ensure that the amount of fuel
available is greater than what is shown on the gauges.
However, the additional weight of this fuel must be taken
into account for weight and balance.
9.13.7.4
There is a bilge pump that is stowed in the hatch in the
right float. Any water that has accumulated in the floats
may be emptied out by removing the rubber plugs and
using the pump to draw the water out. Make sure that no
one is standing in the way of the water stream.
