If the white "TER N/A" status annunciator is displayed by
the GNS 530, the system will no longer provide TAWS or
TERRAIN alerting or display relative terrain elevations.
The crew must maintain compliance with procedures that
ensure minimum terrain separation.
If the red "TER FAIL" status annunciator is displayed by
the GNS 530, the system will no longer provide TAWS or
TERRAIN alerting or display relative terrain elevations.
The crew must maintain compliance with procedures that
ensure minimum terrain separation.
If a "TAWS has failed" or a "TERRAIN has failed"
message is displayed by the GNS 530, the system will no
longer provide TAWS or TERRAIN alerting or display
relative terrain elevations.
The crew must maintain
compliance with procedures that ensure minimum terrain
separation.
