The
oil
level in the transmi ssion fluctuates
with the oil
temperature
.
With
the trans-
mission
at
operating
temperature (194
°
F
=
90°
C)
the
oil
level
must be somewhere
between the
lower and th
e
upper
dipstick
marking. Do
not
fill
abov
e
upper
marking. If
the
transmission
is co
ld (68-86°F
=
20-30 °C) the
maximum oil level
is appro-
ximately 35
mm
(1.3 in)
below the
dipstick
minimum marking
.
Filter
change

Remove and clean
trans-
mission
oil
pan
.
Renew
filter
.
Check oil pan
gasket
for damage and
renew
if
required
. Attac
h
oil
pan.
Screw on oil fille

Observe
tightening torques
Filling with
oil: First
pour in
4
liters of
oil
through the
oil filler pipe
.
Secure vehicle
to prevent
it
