4.11 Vehicle cleaning and care
Use an amp le supply of water to wash the
vehicle. Do not was h it in strong sunlight.
Use dry clea ning gaso line (not automotive
fuel) to remove grease stains. Do not app ly
c rude oil or grease to the syntheti c resin
fi nish since suc h agents will qui ckly de-
str oy the protective film on th e fini sh.
Do not c lean lenses of turn signal and tail
lights with nitro thinner but use c leaning
gasol ine.
For c leani ng steering wh eel, gea rshift le-
ver, soiled upho lstery and floor co vering in
the cab , use only warm water with dish
was hing detergen t or washing powder for
de licate fabri cs. Do not use sco uring
agent s. Use dry cleaning gaso line to
remove greas e stains in th e uph olstery.
