4.10.3 Checking the headlight alignment
Correc t headlig ht aiming is of paramount
importa nce to roadworthiness. Period ic
c hecks with a headligh t aimer sho uld
therefore be made.
Each headl ight must be checked ind1 v1 rl
ually. The other headligh t and tho othor
exterio r lights must be c overed up for this
process.
Loaded vehicle :
The brig ht/ dark borderline of the low
beam is determ ined by subtracting 10 cm
(4 in) from the headlight horizon tal cent or
line (dista nce between headlight conter
and groun d) wit h a vehicle positioned 1 11
4.10.4 Headlight bulb replacement
Turn left and detach ca p of headlight
co wling. Disconn ect electr ical co nnector,
unloc k bulb ho lder from its bayonet lock
by depressing and turni ng it cou nter
c loc kwise . Remove two-fil ament bulb with
socket. Do not touc h the new bul b with
moist or oi ly fingers but use tissue paper.
Install the lamp in such a way as to ensure
the insertio n of the two bulb socke t guid e

Put on lnmp holder and depress and turn it
c lockwiso for engage ment. Connect the
elcctrrcu l connector, position cap and fas-
ton by turning to the right.
Then check headlig ht adjustment.
