Caller ID Operation
CID memory
• Press
to edit the telephone number. You can
SELECT
make any changes to the number by using the
button to erase characters, or using the dialpad to
enter new ones (see pages 25-26 for instructions).
• Press
. You can now choose to assign a dis-

tinctive ringer to this entry. Press
choose Y (for yes) or N (for no). If you choose Yes
(and if you have Caller ID service), a different ringing
style will alert you when this person calls. (This step
is for the cordless handset only).
• Press
again and a long beep sound signals

that the information has been stored in the direc-
tory.
Deleting a number from the CID Memory
• Press
on the telephone base or on the cord-

entry to be deleted.
• When the desired record is displayed on the screen,

NOTE: Deleting an incoming call record on the telephone base does
not automatically delete the same record from the cordless handset. Likewise,
deleting an incoming call record on the cordless handset does not automati-
cally delete the same record from the telephone base.
NOTE: When an entry is deleted, the next oldest record is displayed.
NOTE: See Page 32 for instructions on dialing a CID entry.
