corded handset using a directory entry,
lift the corded handset, press the
^DIR button until you find the entry
and press DISP DIAL.
Directories
Directory search
Follow the steps on the left to browse through the
directory, or search to find a specific entry. You can
press
on the cordless handset (or
/CLEAR
OFF
at the base) anytime to exit the directory.
To browse through the directory
To browse, press
^
entries one by one.

appears in the display of each entry on the cord-
D
less handset that has been assigned a distinctive ring
(see page 26).
To search alphabetically
To shorten your search, use the telephone dialpad to
enter the first letter of a name, then press
scroll forward or
CID
desired name.
Press dialpad buttons once for the first letter, twice for
the second, three times for the third, as shown on page
25.
To call a displayed number
When the desired entry is displayed, you can dial it
immediately:
On the cordless handset, press
At the base, press
DISP DIAL
activate the speakerphone and dial the number. You can
continue the call on speakerphone, or lift the corded
handset.
