Propeller Service

1. Remove the stainless steel lock nut

2. Press the coupling assembly out of the propeller.
3. Inspect the coupling components
wear and damage. If either the inner or outer coupling
show wear or damage, replace the coupling.

4. Inspect the exposed end of the propeller shaft for
wear or damage. If the threads
portion
show wear or damage replace the shaft.

5. Inspect the propeller
damaged blades, and for wear or damage to the hub.
Replace or repair the propeller as required.
6. Install the coupling to the propeller.
7. Apply anti-seize to the propeller shaft. Install the
propeller, stainless steel washer and stainless steel
lock nut to the propeller shaft. Torque to
90 in. lbs. (10 Nm).
