Label Transmit Format Configuration Items
(RS-232 and Keyboard Wedge Interfaces Only)
If you need to send information in addition to label data, the scanner can
be configured to transmit prefixes and/or suffixes as well as symbology
specific identifier characters (Label I.D.).
Prefix & Suffix
As the examples below show, none, one or two symbology specific ASCII
characters can be added to the beginning of label in addition to multiple
prefix and suffix characters.
Using this feature requires a thorough understanding
of your specific system requirements.
The options available using this feature are:

Symbology specific (0 - 2) characters + label data
•
Non-symbology specific characters (1-2) as a prefix + label
data
•
Label data + non-symbology specific characters (0-2) as a
suffix
•
Non-symbology specific characters (1-2) as a prefix + symbol-
ogy specific characters (0-2) + label data
•
Symbology specific characters (0-2) + label data + non-
symbology specific characters (1-2) as a suffix
