Physical Drive

Choose this option from the Main Menu to select a disk drive and to perform the
operations listed below.

4.4.1 Create Pass-Through Disk

A Pass-Through Disk is a disk drive not controlled by the internal RAID subsystem firmware
and thus cannot be a part of a Volume Set. A Pass-Through disk is a separate and
individual Raid Set. The disk is available to the host as an individual disk. It is typically
used on a system where the operating system is on a disk not controlled by the RAID
firmware.
To create pass-through disk, click on the Create Pass-Through link under the
Physical Drives main menu. The setting function screen appears.
Select the disk drive to be made as Pass-Through Disk and configure the Pass-Through
Disk attributes, such as the Cache Mode, Tagged Command Queuing, and SAS
Port/LUN Base/LUN for this volume.
