MOUNTING
2.1 Preparing the Installation
Before mounting the MOBOTIX Q22M, the following questions should be
answered:
1) Where will the camera be mounted?
Mounting the camera to a ceiling or wall, see section 2.1.1
2) Which other mounting options are available?
On-wall mounting, in-ceiling mounting, vandalism protection, wall mounting,
pole mounting, see section 2.1.2 .
3) How is the camera connected to the network and how is the power sup-
plied?
Network Power Adapter, Netpower Rack/Netpower Box, MxPoE or PoE-com-
ponents (IEEE 802.3af), see section 2.1.4 .
4) How are the connections furnished from the building?
Wall outlets, see section 2.1.5 .
5) Which sections of the Mounting Instructions should I read?
In order to mount the Q22M with its optional accessories as quickly and effi-
ciently as possible, you should consult the Directions for Mounting, see sec-
tion 2.1.6 .
The following sections contain a brief overview for all of these questions as well as
references to the relevant sections in this manual, which contain more detailed in-
formation. For more information on the MOBOTIX Q22M and the available accesso-
ries, please also refer to www.mobotix.com.
2.1.1 Mounting to a Ceiling or Wall
The MOBOTIX Q22M has been primarily designed to be mounted to either
ceilings or walls (in combina-
tion with the Wall Mount).
The supplied L11 180° lens then
allows monitoring the entire
room from the bottom to the
ceiling. The Q22M can also be
mounted directly to a wall
without using the wall mount.
The cable entry of the Q22M is
below the center of the cam-
era's back plate. For more de-
tailed information on mounting
the camera, see sections 2.4
and above; the drilling tem-
plates are at the end of the
manual.
