8 Turn the spool gear backward to take up the slack
in the paper roll.
Note: If the paper roll has slackened during use,
take up the slack in the same manner.
9 Close the printer cover as shown, without allowing
the top sheet to get caught by the printer cover.
0 Cut the leading edge of the roll paper as shown.
Note: When the paper end mark appears on the
reverse of the paper, replace the paper roll
before it runs out.

If you open the printer cover before replacing the paper roll, close the platen arm, take up the
slack in the paper roll on the spool, and push the paper feed button to feed 5 to 10 cm of paper.
