Connect green or green/yellow grounding
conductor to disconnect device grounding
terminal first.
Connect input conductors L1, L2, and L3
to disconnect device line terminals.

Select type and size of overcurrent protec-
tion using Section 4-5 (fused disconnect
switch shown).
Close and secure door on disconnect
device. Remove lockout/tagout device,
and place switch in the On position.
Installation must meet all National
and Local Codes − have only quali-
fied persons make this installation.
Disconnect and lockout/tagout in-
put power before connecting input
conductors from unit.
Always connect green or green/
yellow
conductor
to
supply
grounding terminal first, and never
to a line terminal.
The Auto-Link circuitry in this unit au-
tomatically links the power source to
the primary voltage being applied. A
230/460 unit can be connected to ei-
ther 230 or 460 VAC input power. A
460/575 model can be connected to
either 460 or 575 VAC input power.

Possible causes of no weld output in a Miller Electric welding machine include:

1. Line disconnect switch is Off.
2. Blown line fuse(s) or tripped circuit breaker.
3. Improper input power connections.
4. Input voltage outside acceptable range.
5. Faulty or disconnected remote control.
6. Unit overheated—requires cooling.
7. Excessive ground current detected (if equipped with ground current sensor).

You can find the troubleshooting guide and wiring schematic in Sections 4-5, 4-6, and 4-7 of the manual.
