SNMP security

The SNMP security screen is where you define the SNMP communities that will have access to the Power+,
and whether that access will be "read only" (requests for data – a "read-only") or "read-write" (includes the
ability to modify G4 settings).
You also have the capability of limiting the IP addresses from which the G4 will accept SNMP packets. If the
IP address has four segments of zero, this means that all users in the community will have the designated
access.

SNMP trap targets

An SNMP trap is a destination to which the G4 will send alarm notifications using the SNMP protocol. For
each destination, an IP address and a port must be specified.
