The differential lock is intended for use where minimum traction is
available. NEVER EXCEED 10 MPH (16 kph) with the front differential
lock engaged. Maneuverability and handling characteristics will differ
with the differential lock engaged. ALWAYS shift into four-wheel drive
prior to engaging the differential lock. Failure to follow this procedure
may result in loss of control. Control loss can result in severe injury or
even death.

Foot Brake

The foot brake is the only service brake, and it should be applied whenever brak-
ing is needed.
Apply the brake by pressing the brake pedal down.

Parking Brake

To engage and release the parking brake, use the following procedure.
1. To engage the parking brake, press the parking brake pedal firmly until
heavy resistance is felt (there should be a "ratcheting" sound), and the pedal
should remain down in the "set" position. The control light is on.
2. To release the parking brake, pull out on the parking brake release handle,
and the pedal should return to the "up" position. The control-light should be
off again.
Release the parking brake before driving the vehicle or accelerated
brake pad wear may occur.
NOTE: The parking brake locks only the rear wheels. If desirable to
lock all four wheels, engage the front wheels by selecting 4WD prior
to turning the ignition switch off.

Headlight OFF/ON Switch

Use the headlight OFF/ON switch to turn on/off the headlights.
