10. Turn on the attached devices, and turn on the computer.

Power and signal cables for internal drives

Important:
The computer uses cables to connect IDE, SATA, SCSI, and SAS devices to the
power supply and to the system board. (See "System-board internal connectors and
jumpers" on page 39 for the location of system-board connectors.) Review the
following information before connecting power and signal cables to internal drives:
v The drives that are preinstalled in the computer come with power and signal
v When you install a drive, make sure that one of the drive connectors of the signal
v If you have only one IDE device on a cable, it must be set as a primary device.

3. Slide the front of the drive into the slots of the hard disk drive bracket.

4. Lower the rear of the drive into position in the bracket, and install the
thumbscrew at the rear of the drive.
5. Reconnect the signal and power cables to the hard disk drive in the bracket.
6. Replace the internal drive-bay bracket, see "Replacing the internal drive-bay
bracket" on page 65.
7. Replace the bezel, see "Replacing the bezel" on page 66.
8. Replace the side cover (see "Replacing the side cover" on page 67).
9. Reconnect the external cables and power cords.
This computer is suitable for use on an IT power distribution system,
whose maximum phase to phase voltage is 240 V under any
distribution fault condition.
