    MAKING USER SETTINGS (cont.) 4:3 standard TV, About the TV Aspect Ratio EDTV or HDTV The TV that you have connected to your set-top has an aspect ratio (width-to-height ratio) of 4:3 (basic/standard) or 16:9 (widescreen). You must set the appropriate TV Aspect Ratio (4:3 or 16:9) on your set-top, so that it is compatible with your TV.
