Active Upgrade technology does not support the following types of upgrades:
•
Any upgrade that requires network connectivity during the upgrade process. For example, you
cannot use an installer program that downloads its installation files from the Internet as the
upgrade progresses. If possible, you must download the complete installer to the system prior
to initiating split mode.
•
BIOS, BMC firmware updates that can be performed while the system is duplexed and online.
