Disassembly of the
Peltier Element
Disconnect the dispenser from the mains
supply and close the water tap.
Remove the front cover.
CAUTION:
When the front cover is made
of glass, there is the danger of
being injured if the glass
breaks.
Remove the front part. (see chap. G.5)
CAUTION:
Observe
compartment is not placed on top
of the Peltier element.
Disassembly:
Remove two screws (1). Remove the
insulating bush (2), the pressure plate (3),
the heat sink (4) and the Peltier element
(5). (Fig. 1)
Ensure that the ground lug (6) and the lock
washer (7) of the upper screw (1) do not
get lost. (Fig. 2)
Clean the Peltier element support at the
cooling compartment and the support at the
heat sink by means of pure benzine.
The surface must not be scratched or
damaged. If the surface, however, has been
damaged, polish it slightly.
Clean the Peltier element surface by means
of pure benzine and dry it.
Only use silicone grease (part no. K-
0085) for the following step.
Uniformly apply a thin film of the silicone
grease.
CAUTION:
The Peltier element is very
sensitive with respect to
ruptures (thin ceramic plates,
wire connections).
Position the Peltier element (5) centrally on
the cooling compartment support. (Fig. 3)
Ensure that the red and black connecting
wires for the Peltier element are positioned
correctly. (Fig. 3)
