4.5 Vitocal 300-G/350-G, with one heating circuit without mixer, with DHW heating

Application range
Detached house with underfloor heating circuit oP. Size DHW cylinder
eP in accordance with current standards and requirements.

Requirements
The minimum flow rate of heat pump 1 must be safeguarded by sec-
ondary pump 6 and overflow valve oW. Heating circuit oP and over-
flow valve oW must be matched up.
Central heating by heat pump
Heat pump 1, primary pump 5 and secondary pump 6 start if the
actual return temperature is lower than the set temperature selected
at control unit 2.

With heating circuit A1/HC1, DHW cylinder (delivered condition)
Heat pump 1 supplies heating circuit oP with heat. Control unit 2
regulates the flow temperature of heating circuit oP. With type BW heat
pumps, secondary pump 6 delivers heating water subject to demand
to heating circuit oP, or via circulation pump for cylinder heating 7 to
DHW cylinder eP.
With type BWC heat pumps, the integral secondary pump or circulation
pump for cylinder heating 7 delivers heating water either to heating
circuit oP or to DHW cylinder eP.
Heat pump 1 and primary pump 5 are switched off once the actual
return temperature at the return temperature sensor exceeds the tem-
perature set at control unit 2.
DHW heating by heat pump
In the delivered condition, DHW heating by heat pump 1 is given
priority over heating circuit oP and takes precedence at night.
The heat demand is issued via cylinder temperature sensor eW and
control unit 2, which controls circulation pump for cylinder heating
7. Control unit 2 raises the flow temperature to the value required
for DHW heating.
A booster heater can back up the DHW heating function. If the set
cylinder temperature selected at control unit 2 is exceeded, control
unit 2 switches circulation pump for cylinder heating 7 off and starts
secondary pump 6 in the case of heat demand from heating circuit
oP. Heating circuit oP is then supplied with heat.
The flow temperature can be raised above 60 °C with instantaneous
heating water heater 4.
