Vitocal 200-A
(cont.)
6.2 Vitocal 200-A with one heating/cooling circuit without mixer, with active cooling func-
tion and DHW heating
ID: 4605547_1304_02
Main components
■ Vitocal 200-A with Vitotronic 200, type WO1C
■ 1 heating/cooling circuit without mixer
■ DHW cylinder
Requirements
The minimum flow rate of the heat pump must be safeguarded by sec-
ondary pump 6 and overflow valve oE. This valve must be installed
at the furthest point of the underfloor heating distributor and be
hydraulically balanced.
Central heating by heat pump
Heat pump 1 supplies heating circuit oP with heat via secondary
pump 6. Heat pump control unit 2 regulates the heating water flow
temperature and thereby the heating circuit.
Heat pump 1 starts if the actual temperature captured by flow tem-
perature sensor 7 in heat pump 1 is lower than the set temperature
selected at control unit 2.
DHW heating
In the delivered condition, DHW heating by heat pump 1 is given
priority over the heating circuits and takes place from 00:00 to
24:00 h.
The heat demand is issued via cylinder temperature sensor eQ and
control unit 2, which controls 3-way diverter valve 5 in conjunction
with secondary pump 6. The control unit raises the flow temperature
to the value required for DHW heating.
Active cooling function
The active cooling function is enabled if the value for the cooling limit
temperature that can be adjusted at control unit 2 is exceeded at
outside temperature sensor 3.
The heat pump supplies heating circuit oP with cooled heating
water.
Control unit 2 regulates the flow temperature and thereby the cooling
function of the heating circuit in line with the selected cooling param-
eters.
The set flow temperature of the cooling circuit is regulated in accord-
ance with the cooling demand.

Application range
Detached houses with uniform user patterns, underfloor heating and
cooling demand. Size the DHW cylinder in accordance with current
standards and requirements.
The flow rate within the heating circuit is regulated by opening and
closing the valves at the underfloor heating system distributor.
Heat pump 1 and secondary pump 6 are switched off once the
actual flow temperature exceeds the temperature set at control unit
2.
The cylinder temperature can be raised to 60 °C via instantaneous
heating water heater 4.
Possible condensate that may form as a result of changing ambient
conditions is captured by contact humidistat iE and central cooling is
switched off if necessary.
Note
All lines where the coolant temperature can fall below the dew point
should be insulated so that they are vapour diffusion-proof.
In cooling mode, safeguard the minimum flow rate in the secondary
circuit.
To do so, use suitable valves on the heating circuit distributor. See the
Vitoset pricelist.
