How to Activate, Deactivate the Track Control
System (TCS) from the ECDIS
How to activate TCS
Click the [TCS] button on the InstantAccess bar to show the buttons of the TCS button
group. Then click the [TCS OP.] and [Go AW] or [Go SEA] buttons to activate the route
steering. Activate the route steering at the Autopilot by selecting the NAVI mode.
Note: The TCS cannot be activated if the route steering preconditions have not been
met. Applicable alert and status messages appear on the ECDIS.
See "Messages" on page 24-8 for the status messages.
How to deactivate TCS
Click the [TCS] button on the InstantAccess bar followed by the [TCS Stop] button.

How to Select the ECDIS to Control the Autopilot

If the ECDIS system has more than one processor unit, you can select the processor
unit to control the Autopilot.
1. Open the menu.
2. From the [General] menu, open the [TCS] dialog box.
3. At [ECDIS for Track Control], select the ECDIS unit to control the Autopilot.
4. Click the [Save] button to finish.
