BLINDSØM
Blindsøm brukes hovedsaklig til å legge
opp gardiner, bukser, skjørt etc.
INNSTILLINGER

- Vanlig blindsøm for normalt faste
stoffer
- Elastisk blindsøm for myke,
elastiske stoffer
1. Klargjør først sårkanten. Dette gjør du
ved å lage en brett på tynne stoffer
eller kast over mellomtykke og tykke
stoffer. Brett så falden der du vil ha
den, press og fest med knappenåler.
2. Brett nå stoffet som vist, med vrangen
opp.
3. Plasser stoffet under foten. Drei på
håndhjulet mot deg til nålen svinger
helt ut til venstre. Den skal bare gå
inn i falden. Hvis den ikke gjør det,
juster linjalen (B) på blindstingfoten
(A) slik at nålen kun går inn i falden
og linjalen må hvile mot falden.
MERK: For smalere eller bredere
blindsøm, juster først lengde- og
bredde-velger manuelt, til ønsket
l e n g d e o g b r e d d e . J u s t e r s å
linjalen på foten.
S y s a k t e , m e n s d u f ø r e r s t o ff e t
forsiktig langs med linjalens kant.
4. Når du er ferdig, er sømmen nesten
usynlig på rettsiden av stoffet.

Käännä ohuissa kankaissa reuna
alle tai huolittele keskipaksuissa
ja paksuissa kankaissa. Käännä
s i t t e n h e l m a a p ä ä l l e t a r v i t t a v a
määrä, prässää ja kiinnitä neuloilla
paikalleen.
2. Käännä kankaan nurja puoli päälle
päin kuvan mukaisesti.
3. Aseta kangas jalan alle. Käännä
käsipyörää kädellä itseäsi kohti,
kunnes neula heilahtaa kokonaan
vasemmalle. Neulan tulee juuri ja juuri
tarttua muutamaan kuituun kankaan
reunassa. Jos niin ei käy, säädä piilo-
ommeljalan (A) ohjainta (B) niin,
että ommel osuu oikeaan kohtaan ja
ohjain on taitoksen kohdalla.

BLINDHEM STITCH

The blindhem stitch is primarily used for
hemming curtains, trousers, skirts, etc.
Settings
: Presser foot - Blind stitch foot
: Thread Tension Control: AUTO
- Regular blind stitch for normal
woven fabrics
-Elastic blind stitch for soft,
stretchable fabrics
1. With matching thread finish the
raw edge. On fine fabric, turn up
and press a small ½" or less hem.
On medium to heavyweight fabrics
overcast the fabric's raw edge.
2. Now fold the fabric as illustrated with
the wrong side up.
3. Place the fabric under the foot. Turn
the handwheel counter clockwise by
hand until the needle swings fully to
the left. It should just pierce the fold
of the fabric. If it does not, adjust the
guide (B) on the blindhem foot (A) so
that the needle just pierces the fabric
fold and the guide just rests against
the fold.
NOTE: In addition to the adjustment
on the foot, the stitch width control
c a n b e u s e d . T h e s t i t c h w i d t h
control changes the swing of the
needle for a more narrow or wider
stitch.

carefully along the edge of the guide.
4. When completed, the stitching is
almost invisible on the right side of
the fabric.
NOTE: It takes practice to sew
blind hems. Always make a sewing
