Safety valve
According to DIN 3320, the operating
pressure of the safety valve is the max.
system pressure +10 %.
The safety valve must comply with EN
12975−1 or 12976−1.

The safety valve must be matched to the
output of the collector, or the collector
assembly, and be able to transfer their
maximum output of 800 W/m
High limit safety cut−out
The Vitosolic 100 and 200 solar control
units are equipped with an electronic
temperature limiter (safety shutdown).
For systems with a sufficiently large DHW
capacity, this protection is adequate, as
the maximum operating temperature
does not exceed 110 ºC.
VITOSOL
When using water with antifreeze or
synthetic process media, which are
miscible with water (e.g. Viessmann
process medium) and whose boiling
point is higher than that of water, the
blow off and discharge pipes must be run
to an open container capable of
accommodating the total capacity of the
collectors.

.
An additional high limit safety cut−out is
required, if the cylinder capacity listed in
the table is less than that stated per m
absorber area.

3.3 Safety equipment
Use only safety valves designed for a
max. of 6 bar and 120 ºC bearing the
markings S (solar) as part of the product
identification.
Note
Solar Divicon is equipped with a safety
valve for max. 6 bar and 120 ºC and is
identified by the type code
TÜV.SV.02−1087.Sol.50.6.
