Calculating the distance between collector rows
Influence and consideration of shading
Initially, the angle of the sun is established,
accepting a partial shading of collector
rows arranged behind each other.
Example
Determining the angle of the sun for Berlin at the beginning of September.
1. At the horizontal level, draw a line to
the right at the latitude of Berlin.
2. The diagonal stripes at the r.h. edge of
the map represent the individual
months (starting and ending on the
st
21
day respectively, counting from
21.12. to 21.6. from right to left
and
from 21.6. to 21.12. from left to right).
Mark an x on the map in accordance
with the date within the relevant stripe
on the horizontal level.
