8. To remove the two bimetals:
a) Disconnect the bimetal connector from
the main harness.
b) Pull the two bimetal leads out of the slot
in the lower grommet.

c) Unclip the upper and lower bimetals
from the evaporator tubing and remove
them. IMPORTANT:The bimetal
marked "F36-18F" must be mounted
below the other bimetal. The bimetals
will be replaced as an assembly.

9. To remove the evaporator:
a) Remove the grommets from around
the tubing and from the wires in the
evaporator cover.
b) Unclip the two bimetals from the evapo-
rator tubing and move them out of the
way (see the lower left photo).
c) Remove the two screws from the evapo-
rator flange.
Screw (Behind Flange)
d) Access the sealed system and dis-
charge the refrigerant into an approved
recovery system.
